Wireless Internet & Printing

The library offers free internet, secured connections, wireless printing and workspace for users with laptops and mobile devices.

FREE WIRELESS INTERNET

The library provides high speed wireless internet for laptops and mobile devices.  To connect, scan, then choose any of the connections with the word "public" followed by a direction.

FREE SECURED WIRELESS CONNECTIONS

Secured connections are available with a password from the Help Desk.

.10/PAGE WIRELESS  PRINTING

The library offers printing from certain devices for .10 per page.

To print, go to http://10.1.100.99:30044/clientlauncher.  You will need to visit this site each time you print, so please bookmark the site.

TROUBLESHOOTING WIRELESS PRINTING

If you are unable to print, try the following:

  • Update Windows

To use the library's wireless printing, you may need to download updates to your Windows Operating System.

  • If that does not work and you are using Windows 7 or Windows 8, change your User Account Control (UAC) settings:

1. Go to your device's control panel.

2. Choose User accounts

3. Choose "Change user account control setting."

4. Choose "Never notify" under the heading "When to be notified about changes to your computer.

  • If that does not work and you MUST print, you can disable your firewall.

 For security purposes, disabling your firewall is NOT recommended.

DIRECTIONS FOR PRINTING

  • Install the Print option on PC using Internet Explorer:

1. Connect to the Stillwater Public Library wireless network and click the link below.

 
2.  Choose the link next to the Windows option.

3. Click "Run" to run the installer.  (Please note: Windows 7 requires that you have administrative privileges.)

4. Internet Explorer displays a Security Warning.  Click "Run". The system runs the LPT:One Print Client and minimizes to the taskbar.

5. Once the LPT:One Print Client is running, you may print to the Library's printer. Select your computer or software print option and click "Print."

6. When prompted, enter your initials and click "OK."

7. Approve of your print job and fee by clicking "OK."

8. Complete your print job by clicking "OK."

9. Your print job will now appear on the monitor next to the printer.  Please use the instructions at the printer and monitor to pay for and release your print job.

  • Install the Print option on PC using Firefox:

1. Connect to the Stillwater Public Library wireless network and click the link below.

3. Click "Save File" and save to your computer. Please note: Windows 7 requires that you have administrative privileges.

 

4. When the Download Manager completes the download, double-click "clientlauncher.exe".

 5. Firefox may display a Security Warning. Click "OK". The system runs the LPT:One Print Client and minimizes to the taskbar.

6. Once the LPT:One Print Client is running, you may print to the Library's printer. Select your computer or software print option and click "Print."

  • Uninstall the Print Option in Windows:

1. Open the LPT:One Print Client by clicking on the button in the taskbar.

2. Click "Stop Print Client." The LPT:One Print Client closes, and restores your previous default printer. Please note: When you shut down or log off your computer, the LPT:One Print Client will automatically uninstall.

  • Install the Print Option on Mac using Safari:

1. Connect to  the library's wireless network and click the button below.

 
2. Save to your computer.

 

3. Double-click the LPT:One Print Client.

4. Safari may display a Security Warning. Click "Open."

5. The system runs the LPT:One Print Client and should be running in the dock.

6. Once the LPT:One Print Client is running, you may print to the Library's printer.  Select your computer or software print option and click "Print."

7. When prompted, enter your initials and click "OK."

8. Approve of your print job and fee by clicking "OK."

9.  In the Print Complete box click "OK".

10. Your print job will now appear on the monitor next to the printer.  Please use the instructions at the printer and monitor to pay for and release your print job.
  

  • Uninstall the Print Option on a MAC:

1. Select "Quit LPT One Mobile Print Client" from the LPT One Mobile Print Client menu.

2. The LPT:One Print Client closes, and restores your previous default printer.  Please note: When you shut down or log off your computer, the LPT:One Print Client will automatically uninstall.
