Stillwater Public Library releases its schedule for free computer classes

(STILLWATER, OKLA. / Aug. 18, 2014) – The Stillwater Public Library has released the schedule for its free computer classes which will be offered Sept. 2 – Nov. 22.  The classes are open to the public and will be held in the library’s computer lab.  Seating for classes is limited and registration is required.

Students may choose from the following single-session classes: 

Fall Computer ScheduleIntroduction to Mousing
Sept. 2 at 1 p.m.
Nov. 1 at 10 a.m.

Getting Started with Email
Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m.
Nov. 5 at 9 a.m.

Basic Internet Searching
Sept. 18 at 3 p.m.
Nov. 9 at 1:30 p.m.

Intro to Microsoft Excel
Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Intro to Microsoft Word
Oct. 17 at 10 a.m.
Nov. 22 at 2 p.m.

Oct. 29 at 12 p.m.

In addition, the library is offering three “lab” sessions when people can sign-up to come in to work on problems they are having within certain topics. The labs include:

Folders and Directories Lab
Oct. 22 at 10 a.m.

Open Lab
Oct. 26 at 1:30 p.m.

IPad Lab
Nov. 14 at 1 p.m.

The Stillwater Public Library is located at 1107 S. Duck St. (the corner of Duck and12th Ave.). Library hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
