1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN (year-round reading program for birth through entering Kindergarten)

Cooking 101: Would you make it on Worst Cooks in America or Top Chef? In this class participants will learn the basics of cooking, test their utensil knowledge, learn how to use MyPlate, the details on how to avoid spreading germs while cooking, correct ways to measure and mix ingredients, how to make a no-bake treat and the proper way to set the table for a family meal.  Instructors from Payne County Extension 4-H.

Monday June 24th 10am. For kids going into grades 3-6. Class is full.

Chemistry in the Kitchen: Do you love to eat good food, but really have no idea how bread rises, the difference between baking soda and baking powder, what's an acid or a base? Participants will love learning and playing with simple kitchen science experiments. Why kitchen science? Because everything you need is already in your kitchen cupboards. So many simple science activities can be made, demonstrated and observed with common kitchen ingredients. Instructors from Payne County Extension 4-H.

Monday July 22nd 10am. For kids going into grades 3-6. Register coming soon.
