CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS (More information about children's programs)

1000 Books Before Kindergarten (year round reading program for birth through entering Kindergarten)

Builders Club (every Wednesday 3:30-4:30 p.m. & 6-7 p.m. January through May)

Get a reminder email. Builders Club is for Kindergarten through 5th grade. LEGO blocks and K'NEX will be provided by the library in alternating weeks.

MINECRAFT (every Thursday from 3:30-4:15 p.m. Sept through April)

Register online. Come play with friends in contained worlds created at the library. Must be 3rd grade or older. Please only register for 1-2 sessions per month.

PICKING UP STEAM (every Tuesday as a drop-in bonus activity 3:30-5 p.m. or 5:30-7p.m. Sept through April)

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics. Our drop-in program encourages young students to wonder, experiment, and create with a variety of weekly projects. The weekly bonus activities will focus on one aspect of STEAM and introduce a different concept or project each week.  Make Tuesdays at the library part of your weekly routine, activities can take as long or as short as your child prefers.

R.E.A.D! (First and Third Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. Sept through April)

R.E.A.D! = Reading, Exploration, and Discovery! Homeschool program for 1st-5th graders to help explore the wide world of the Dewey Decimal System. Each month a different Dewey Decimal area will be explored. It is a two-part program each month, with the first session introducing the topic and the second session providing time to share a special project.

READ, WRITE, REPEAT (Second and Fourth Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Sept through April)

The OSU Writing Center will host a twice-monthly workshop for kids, 8-12 years, with a variety of writing activities. Drop-ins & parents are welcome.
