R.E.A.D! (First and Third Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. Sept through April)
R.E.A.D! = Reading, Exploration, and Discovery! Our new program is for 1st-5th grade homeschoolers to help explore the wide world of the Dewey Decimal System. Each month a different Dewey Decimal area will be explored. It is a two-part program each month, with the first session introducing the topic and the second session providing time to share a special project.
READ, WRITE, REPEAT (Second and Fourth Thursdays at 6:00 p.m., Nov 10th will be the last session in 2016. We will resume on Jan 26, 2017)
The OSU Writing Center will host a twice monthly workshop for kids, 8-12 years, with a variety of writing activities. Drop ins & parents are welcome.
PICKING UP STEAM (1stTuesday* 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Sept through Dec. Format will be changing in 2017!)
Picking Up STEAM is for Kindergarten through 3rd grade. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics. Our program encourages young students & their caregiver to wonder, experiment, and create at our monthly workshops. These session are designed to be hands on and an adult is required to assist children with the exploration stations.
