    • How Do I Get A Card?

    Library cards may be obtained at the Check In/Out desk. The first card is free; the cost to replace a lost card is $2.00.

    Requirements for a Library Card:

    • A completed library card application
    • Photo ID
    • Proof of address
        • Post office boxes will require separate proof of residency. If you do not have proof of address, you can have your card mailed to you. This option gives the status of Temporary, which allows Internet access and two checked out items.
    • Proof of Payne County residency, employment, school attendance, or property ownership
    • Out-of-county residents may obtain a card by paying a $25.00 annual fee
    • For children under 18, parent's/legal guardian's/responsible adult's signature is required on the child's library card
    • The signing adult is responsible for all materials checked out on minor children's card

    Acceptable proof of Residency or Property Ownership:

    • Driver's License with current street address
    • Current Vehicle insurance verification listing Payne County
    • Personal Check with printed name and street address
    • Voter registration Card
    • Bill or receipt within past 30 days with name and street address
    • Any first class, stamped piece of mail with name and address recieved within the last 30 days
    • Current Stillwater/Payne County Telephone Directory
    • Address printed from OSU student bursar/OKey account
    • Rental agreement with name and street address
    • Current property statement with name and a Payne County address

    Acceptable proof of Employment or School Attendance:

    • Official employee ID card
    • Any official tax document with name and address or employment verification
    • Current pay stub with name & employer/business name & address
    • School ID
    • Oklahoma State University student bursar/OKey account

    You may download and print the appropriate application to bring it to the library with your ID and proof of residency.
