How Do I Get A Card?
Library cards may be obtained at the Check In/Out desk. The first card is free; the cost to replace a lost card is $1.00.
Requirements for a Library Card:
- A completed library card application
- Photo ID
- Proof of Payne County residency, employment, school attendance, or property ownership
- Out-of-county residents may obtain a card by paying a $15.00 annual fee
- Post office boxes will require separate proof of residency
- For children under 18, parent's/legal guardian's/responsible adult's signature is required on the child's library card
- The signing adult is responsible for all materials checked out on minor children's card
Acceptable proof of Residency or Property Ownership:
- Driver's License with current street address
- Current Vehicle insurance verification listing Payne County
- Personal Check with printed name and street address
- Voter registration Card
- Utility bill or reciept within past 30 days
- Any first class, stamped piece of mail with name and address recieved within the last 30 days
- Current Stillwater/Payne County Telephone Directory
- Receipt from the Payne County courthouse w/property information
Acceptable proof of Employment or School Attendance:
- Oklahoma State University student bursar account
- Official employee ID card
- Any official tax document with name and address or employment verification
- Current pay stub w/name & employer or business name & address
- School ID
- Current property statement with name and a Payne County address
