The Stillwater Public Library received a health literacy grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Institute of Museum and Library Services in 2018/2019. The goal of the grant was to provide health literacy training opportunities focused on eating fruits and vegetables. After discussions with community partners at the Payne County Live Well Coalition, idea of a mobile kitchen was recommended. The Charlie Cart, renamed the Biblio Bistro, was purchased using grant funding and intended to support health literacy education through out the county. The Charlie Cart is a mobile kitchen originally designed to be used in K-5 education programs. More information about the Charlie Cart Project can be found on their website.
