Book Clubs
Stillwater Public Library is committed to quality book clubs. We have groups that meet throughout the month to discuss the latest in quality fiction and nonfiction and enjoy quality relationships centered around books.
Second Friday Book Club
This is the oldest existing book club at the Stillwater Public Library dating back to 2006. It meets on the second Friday of each month at noon and is led by reference librarian Stacy Delano and the Head of Circulation Andrea Kane.
This club focuses on general fiction, nonfiction and current titles. Previous books have included The Pilot's Wife, Never Let Me Go and The Memory of Running.
The Second Friday Book Club is currently full and is not taking new members at this time.
Four Star Book Club
This club, which meets the Third Friday of each month at noon, has been in existence since 2008. The Four Star Book Club is led by our very own cataloger Danielle Shreve.
This club focuses on general fiction with a leaning toward books of suspense and drama. Previous books have included Slaughterhouse Five, The Natural and The Sound and The Fury.
The Four Star Book Club is currently full and is not taking new members at this time.
Third Saturday Book Club
The Third Saturday Book Club began in January, 2010 to meet the needs of those who are unable to attend during the weekday. The leader of this club is reference librarian Scott Freeman.
The Third Saturday Book Club has as one of its goals to interest more men in participating in library programming. So far, they have discussed Atonement and The Alchemist.
The Third Saturday Book Club is currently full and is not taking new members at this time.
Ms. Red's Book Club
Our newest book club, Ms. Red's Book Club, meets at 1:00 pm on the second Friday of the month. Ms. Red's Book Club is also led by reference librarian Stacy Delano.

Book Club Kits
Stillwater Public Library has Book Club Kits available for private book clubs to check out. These bagged kits include 10 copies of the book, discussion questions, and a recipe card. Only registered book clubs can check out book club kits. Kits are checked out and returned to the Help Desk.
